Court stay on Ghajini’s release
Justice PR Shiva Kumar (of Madras High Court) granted the stay
on Ghajini’s worldwide release on 25 December. A
Chandrasekharan (producer of original Tamil film Ghajini) filed
a suit that the Hindi produced obtained the remade rights with
fabricated documents. However, the court stay has come after
the prints had been delivered to the distributors and the
exhibitors.

Mickey J Meyer music for Ram’s film
Mickey J Meyer is going to score music for Ram’s next film that
is going to be produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. The regular
shoot of the film will start in January. This film has lots of
elements for kids and children. It will also be shot in Disney
Land (USA) and Hong Kong. Saravanan is going to direct this
film.
Mohan Babu in Mesthri film
Shooting of Dasari’s latest film Mesthri is going on in full
swing. Dasari plays the title role. Sri Hari does another role.
Mohan Babu plays the role of Major Devaraju in this film.
Suresh Krishna directs Mesthri film. Rama Krishna Prasad

Shweta Basu Prasad’s (KBL fame) second film in Telugu was
launched recently in Hyderabad. Balaji N Sai directs this film.
Jakkam Jawahar Babu produces it on Ratna Celluloid banner. Sri

King on 25 December
Nagarjuna’s latest film King got censored today and obtained
clean U certificate. King is slated to release on 25 December
on the eve of Christmas. This film sports Trisha and Mamata
Mohandas in the female leads. A special song was canned
recently on Nagarjuna and eight Telugu film heroines. Seenu
Vytla who delivered three consecutive hits (Dhee, Dubai Seenu &
Ready) directs this film.
India Today with Nagarjuna special
India Today (Telugu) magazine ran a special edition this week
on Nagarjuna. The entire issue has articles and features about
Nagarjuna. Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and many other starts and
technicians penned guest articles about Nagarjuna. India Today
(Telugu) came up with a special edition on Chiranjeevi during
the last year.
Indumathi on 1 January
Harsha P Reddy’s directorial debut film Indumathi is going to
release on 1st January. This film sports Swetha Bharadwaj in
the female lead. Sivaji, Vennela Kishore, Harsha Vardhan and
Vijay play other important roles. Indumathi is a psychological
thriller. Anand (Mantra fame) composed music for Indumathi.

Sun takes over Rajnikant’s Robot
Sun Pictures (a subsidiary of Sun TV Network) took over the
production reigns of Shankar’s latest magnum opus Robot
featuring Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai in the main leads.
Aingaran Films International is supposed to be producing this
film. Top technicians from Hollywood are working for this film
which involves humongous computer graphics. This film will be
released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi at the end of year 2009.
