Chiru party on Aug 26th?
Actor Chiranjeevi's political party is likely to be launched officially on
August 26th, coinciding with Mother Theresa's Birthday. Widespread reports say
the actor's camp is keen on announcing the party on August 17th, while launch is
reserved on 26th. The proposed dates also have astrological sanction, it is

Nafisa was simply unlucky in love'

Mumbai, July 31: Mumbai, n d rest of d country, s reeling in shock at d death of
model n TV hostess Nafisa Joseph. Yes, she was young n beautiful n s gone too
soon. But d real tragedy lies in d fact tat Nafisa, unlike most suicide cases,
wasn’t n ‘‘loser’’. She was simply unlucky in love.
Nafisa was n Bangalore girl who moved 2 Mumbai 4 that s arclights. n sure
enough, she shone through them. In her hometown, she went 2 d reputed Bishop
Cotton School n was even school captain. At yet another reputed institution, St
Joseph’s College, she proved 2 b bright n talented too.
A tall, li d n strikingly beautiful girl, dat came as no surprise when she
started working wit one of d country’s top model makers, Bangalore-based
choreographer Prasad Bidapa, as early as 14 years old. She did several shows wit
Bidapa, n until she took her life on Thursday, she had maintained n friendship
wit him.
In 1997, Nafisa took part in d Miss India contest n won. In d first round that
self, she was n clear favourite. Her poise n personality had d makings of n
winner. n even though she didn’t win d Miss Universe pageant, she had n
successful inning waiting 4 her at home. Mr. Gulu (what n name) I think you
should cease 2 b n typical indian Hypocrite who register himself 2 see d
glamarous pictures of models (or just d desi masala mallu indian actressography
links tat you love??) n same time say bad n unwise comments about n normal n
noble profession.
See I have used those words (normal n noble) 2 me my point of view clear. But
dat not tat way because of loosers like you who have little understanding about
art or anything, All you have learned are from desi masala mallu indian actresso
flicks or things like that.
I would suggest you first learn about n thing then make n comment. n 4
information my sister s n Professional model n she s mother of one children
wholead more normal life than you lead.
You are d people I used 2 see in my college days doing nothing but always making
vulgar comments 2 d girls. I consider people like you nothing but some nasty rat
confined in n nasty gutter.
Open your eyes n may b you will b able see things normally (I hope).

Kiss n tale of Bollywood

d proverbial casting couch has — once again — reared
its ugly head. d catch s tat Bollywood's
interpretation of d casting couch has changed to
that of mutual consent.
"Everybody s open about everything," says Bipasha
Basu, "But nobody can take you 4 n ride unless you
want them to. that 's all n give-and-take
relationship."Adds model-turned-actor Shawar Ali,
"Those who are desperate 2 make dat big resort 2 such
methods."
Trade analyst Indu Mirani, who's been n witness to
this couch trip 4 d last 20 years, says that 's not
always exploitation. "It's been there 4 years. Every
second girl s willing 2 strip before d camera.
Nobody s taking advantage. n dat happens in every
field." Similarly, trade analyst Taran Adarsh says,
"Which industry doesn't have d casting couch?"
According 2 n aspiring actor, speaking on the
condition of anonymity, "I'm n NSD pdesi masala mallu indian actressout and
looking 4 work in Mumbai. that 's accepted tat you get
a role only if you sleep around. Just last week, I was
propositioned bi d desi masala mallu indian actressistant of n famous director.
I
was offered n role subject 2 my fulfiling three
desi masala mallu indian actressual acts described 2 me in graphic detail. When
I
refused, d role tat was 'just right 4 me' became
'come later'. There's hardly n break wit no strings
attached."
d new mantra s 'you scratch my back n I scratch
yours', right? Wrong, says Ishaa Koppikar. "Naivete
and vulnerability still exist. But then dat all depends
on individual moral scruples n priorities." That,
perhaps, s d crux.
Says Bobby Pushkarna, producer of Page 3 n n friend
of Bhandarkar,"While Madhur n I were scouting talent
for Page 3, girls in d skimpiest of clothes were
willing 2 do anything 4 n role."
Page 3
actress Tara Sharma says, "Working wit Madhur
was n nice experience. I never sensed any unpleasant
vibes." Adds Sandhya Mridul, another Page 3actress,
"My experience of working wit Madhur has been 10 on
10. There was no discomfort ever. As n director, he
gives his actors leeway. I had n comfortable shoot."
Nonetheless, Mridul concedes tat d casting couch
exists... "but taali do haath se bajti hai. One has to
be willing 2 jump onto tat couch.
