Micky J Meyer’s next for Dil Raju
Happy Days music director Micky J Meyer is choosing his
projects very selectively. His latest album KBL won lots of
applause. His next film is going to be produced by Dil Raju and
directed cinematographer (Hindi blockbuster Race) turned
director Ravi Yadav. This film is going to be a remake of
yesteryear’s classic Maro Charitra and it sports Varun Sandesh
as hero. This film is likely start in 2009.
Keka obtains U certificate
Teja’s latest film Keka obtained a clean U certificate from
censor board today. They objected for a single dialogue which
was removed later. The censor board is said to be amazed by the
photography work and music of the film. Keka is going to
release worldwide on 23 of this month.
Hero release shifted to 24 Oct
Release date of Nitin’s latest film Hero is shifted from 23
October to 24 October in the last minute. This move allows
Teja’s Keka to have a solo release. Nitin is making sure that
he is giving one film for every three months. His next film
Drona will be released for Sankranthi. His film with Ileana as
heroine is slated for summer’s release. Allari Naresh’s Blade
Babji is also releasing on 24 of October.
Bay Area movies film with Raja
Raja, Manjari Fadnis, Richa Pallod in Bay-Movies Production No.
1 directed by Suman Pathuri and produced by Kalyan Palla.
Suman, the Co-Director of telugu movie Vennela, studied
film-making from the Academy of Arts, San Francisco. Kalyan
Palla, who has extensive experience in the United States in the
technology field, has made a name for himself as a distributor
and exhibitor of telugu movies. He recently distributed the
critically acclaimed movie Gamyam in USA. The movie also boasts
of a solid technical and creative team. The story and
screenplay are provided by Raj & DK, who gave us the biggest
international award-winning NRI hit, Flavors. Mahesh Shankar of
Vennela is the Music Director. Nagaraju Gandham of Gamyam fame
gave the dialogues. Cinematography is handled by Ranga who
studied in Pune Film Institute and worked under Santosh Sivan
in the past. Shooting starts on December 2nd, 2008 and the
movie is tentatively scheduled for a May 2009 release.
Two functions at HITEX
The entire Telugu film industry made a visit to HITEX yesterday
evening to attend the engagement ceremony of Vishnu Manchu and
wedding ceremony of daughter of famed cinematographer Chota K
Naidu. Since both the events were scheduled at the same time
and since both the venues are in walkable distance, all the
film celebrities attended both the functions as per their
convenience.
CBN, NBK two eyes to me: Tarakaratna
Nandamuri Tarakaratna today participated in the Simha Garjana
at Nellore. Arriving at Renigunta airport (Tirupati), he was
received by a huge gathering of Nandamuri fans. Later, he
straight drove to Nellore. Addressing the crowds, he said that
he would continue to organize rallies and public meetings for
the Telugu Desam Party till it regained power in the state.
"The TDP is not afraid of any political parties. People are
behind us. Mavayya (Chandrababu Naidu) and Babai (Balakrishna)
are like two eyes to me," he said.

NTR film from 24 Oct
NTR’s next film with VV Vinayak will go to floors on 24th of
October. The child episode in the film will be shot from 24th
to 28th October. NTR’s introduction fight will be shot from 29
October to 4th November. A song will be shot on NTR and Ileana
from 5th November to 12th November. Kona Venkat provides story
and dialogues. Devi Sri Prasad composes music. Chota K Naidu
handles camera. Stun Siva is the action director. Vallabhaneni
Vamsi Mohan produces this film on Vaishnavi Arts banner. Kodali
Nani presents it.

KBL heroine changes dress
Swetha Prasad, debut heroine of KBL, had to change her dress on
the advice of producer Dil Raju when she arrived at the FNCC,
Hyderabad, to participate in the film's success meet. Earlier,
accompanied by her mother and a crew member of the film she
checked into a room arranged at the venue. Dil Raju and the
organizers were waiting for the arrival of Swetha, when she
reached in all style and glitz – wearing a black sleeveless
tighty with a side cut from down the hip (click here for
gallery). However, on the advice of Dil Raju, she returned to
her room and changed the dress, coming in a T-shirt and ¾
trousers. The sudden change in the dress became a subject to
talk about at the venue.
Chiru to go Khadi way?
The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) constituted committee to study the
problems of the weaves in the state has decided to place a
request with its President Chiranjeevi, "to wear Khadi wear".
Talking to the media at Tirupati, the committee chairman KSR
Murthy (also the political advisor of PRP) said he would be
placing before Chiranjeevi the factsheet about the weavers'
living standards. "If Chiranjeevi wears Khadi, lakhs and lakhs
of his fans will also wear Khadi. This will enhance the sales,"
he said. In all his political meetings so far, Chiru is mostly
seen wearing black pant and white shirt (not khadi).
Interestingly, Gandhi was one among the inspirers of Chiru.
Sherlyn Chopra with NTR
Sherlyn Chopra, the fast upcoming oomph sensation in Bollywood
is set to enter Tollywood with an item song in NTR-VV Vinayak
film. She will also be playing the role of a cop in this film.
Ileana is the heroine. Sherlyn happens to be an acclaimed
dancer. Though Mallika Sherawat was considered initially, no
approach was made later; and thus, taking in Sherlyn.
Billa shooting in Vizag
The regular shoot of Billa, starring Prabhas, Anushka and
Namita, will commence from October 20th in Vizag. Everyone is
aware that it's the remake of Tamil hit film with the same
