Mahesh Babu's B'Day celebrations
The week-long birthday celebrations of actor Mahesh Babu commenced today with
multitudes of fans performing pujas at the temples statewide, besides doing poor
feeding and distribution of fruit to the patients at the hospitals. This assumed
significance in the wake of swirling buzz that the young superstar might take up
campaigning for the ruling Congress party in the ensuing elections. However,
Mahesh said a few months ago that he was not interested in politics. But,
Krishna directly said he would campaign for the party. As part of the
celebrations, state minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy is expected to participate at
a fans programme in Hyderabad.
Tollywood's big game in August
Three films ranging from whopping to moderate budgets are releasing on August
14th on the eve of I-Day. They are Vishal's first straight Telugu film – Salute,
for which an estimated Rs. 2 Cr is said to have been earmarked for publicity
alone, and another Rs. 1.75 Cr for song sequences; Suresh Productions' film with
Ravit Teja- Anushka – Baladoor; and Welfare Group's film with Allari Naresh –
Siddu From Sikakulam. Apart from these, August is going to see the release of JD
Chakri's Homam (tentatively on Aug 28th), VN Aditya's Rainbow and Madan's Gunde
Jhallumandi.
Raghu Kunche's Love of Memory
Playback singer turned music director Raghu Kunche is going to launch his album
"Love In New York" by month end. Other than this, he is planning another album
titled "Love of Memory" with five songs – each on Mother, Native Place, First
Enemy, First Friend and First Crush. "These are the five things which will
continue to be with each and every person. They will definitely be haunts for a
life time. I have selected these themes for my next album," Raghu Kunche said.
Regarding Love in New York, "it is under final mixing at RFC."
Sindhu Menon's awaits farewell?
Actress Sindhu Menon, who made into Tollywood with Srihari's Badrachalam, said
that she had no time to spare for Tollywood hereafter. She told Idlebrain, "I am
tightly engaged to Tamil and Malayalam films. By the time I will be free, this
year might pass off." She is currently doing two Tamil films. Apart from this,
she is shooting for one Malayalam film, while another is expecting release on
August 15th. She has also signed two more films in Malayalam. When asked whether
she was expecting stardom in Malayalam, she said, "Yes." Going by her words, it
seems that Rainbow, a ready for release film of VN Aditya, might be her swan
song in Tollywood.

Dhee, Ready in Kannada
Producer Aditya Babu bought the Kannada remake rights of Dhee and Ready at fancy
offers, it is said. He is likely to star as hero in the film Dhee, leaving Ready
to Punith Rajkumar. Currently, he made his debut as hero in the Kannada remake
of Venkatesh hit film AMAV.
Retired officers in Nagababu film
About a dozen retired government officers will be making their debut in
Nagababu's new film, which was launched recently. Nagababu plays a vital role as
a government officer, who tries to set right his wastrel son. Produced by B.
Vaikunta Rao, it is directed by LCH Ganesh. "The role of Nagababu and his
struggle for social justice will make the film a moving entertainer," said its
producer. Its regular shoot will commence soon.
Veedi Jimmada about call centers
A new film titled Veedi Jimmada is coming up the call centers culture. Aditya Om
and Mounika are playing the lead roles. Debutante Balu is the director. MA
Rajkumar is producer. "The regular shoot will commence from August second week.
It has the backdrop of call centers. Comedy is given a prominent place." The
shooting will take place in Vizag, Araku and Hyderabad. Music is by Vandemataram
Srinivas.
Meera Chopra's goodbye to films?
Heroine Meera Chopra expressed her desire to say goodbye to films after she gets
married. The girl made her debut with Satyam Sivam Sundaram, a Nitin starrer,
which has not yet been released. But, she came to limelight with Pawan Kalyan's
Bangaram. After MS Raju's Vaana, she is now doing the second fiddle in bilingual
Jaganmohini. "I wish to get married by year end. I will be satisfied if I could
get the right man who could love me much." Responding to query about her love
with a Delhi boy, she said: "Yes." But, the romance didn't materialize. "If I
quit movies, I will go back to my original profession…journalism," reports said,
quoting the actress.

of Kompally on 17
January. Two screens are operational as of now n two more screens will be
functional of few days. tis
multiplex was playing Desamuduru, Yogi n Guru at present. We have to wait n see
how a multiplex was
going to fare of a suburb like Kompally. Incidentally Cine Planet was d 3rd
multiplex. Malla Reddy was
d owner of d theater. Asian Films n Suresh Movie Distributors are said to have
leased out tis
multiplex. D Suresh Babu says tat Cine Planet was going to be d biggest
multiplex of d city as per d
seating capacity as each screen accommodates 500 patrons.
Hyderabad Nawabs as Allulla Mazaka
The successful Hyderabadi Hindi film ‘Hyderabad Nawabs’ was going to be dubbed n
released of Telugu.
tis film was titled as ‘Allulla Mazaka’. Vennelakanti was penning dialogues n

also producing dubbed
version on Utopia Entertainments banner.

canned of Annapurna

Yogi obtains U/A
Prabhas’s Yogi got censored today n obtained U/A certificate. Prints are already
dispatched n will be
arriving by 12th of most of d centers. Yogi was releasing worldwide on 14
January on d eve of Bhogi
