Manjari in Maska?
Manjari Fadnis, one of the two heroines of and Allari Naresh's yet-to-be
released film, is going to be one of the two heroines in MS Raju's film Maska,
starring Ram as hero, it is learnt. The other heroine is already fixed as
Hansika Motwani. B. Gopal directs the film. Manjari, who came into limelight
with Jane Tu Ya Jane Na, recently, now made her debut with Siddhu from Sikakulam.
Earlier, she debuted into Bollywood with the film Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004).
Allari Naresh tilt towards direction
Busy comedy hero Allari Naresh said that though he is breathlessly enaged to
film after film as hero, his ultimate passion is for direction, which he would
take up at a later stage in his career. Talking to reporters at Vizag, he said
that he didn't want to retain himself to just comedy roles, but was desirous of
proving himself in all angles of histrionics as he did in a Visakha Express or
Gamyam. Replying to a question, he said his marriage was likely in 2010, after
that of his brother Aryan Rajesh's. "My father, who is so careful in selection
of heroines for me in films will definitely get a good heroine for me in real
life," he maintained. He further said he would make it a point hereafter that
all of his forthcoming films should have a schedule in Vizag, "which I like most
and attached to sentimentally." His latest Siddhu from Sikakulam is ready for
release on August 14.

Suhasini as Chiru Mahila
Suhasini Maniratnam, who ticked the memory line of the Telugu audiences with her
presence in Bommarillu - a TV game show in the recent weeks, is going to head
the women wing of Megastar Chiranjeevi's ready-for-launch party in August,
sources said. At a time, when Congress party's women wing is additionally
powered with Jeevita Rajasekhar, considered a good speaker, its rival TDP has
Roja, with a peculiar tinge of audacity in her voice. We have to wait and see to
what extent Suhasini could compete with the feminine political rhetoric.
Smita complimented by Suneeta Rao
It was a rare occasion when Smita met Suneeta Rao, yet another Pop sensation who
has her roots from A.P. on NDTV’s “Good Morning India” show this morning. Smita
was live from Hyderabad at NDTV studio and Suneeta Rao was live from the Bombay
studio. The host of the show interviewed Smita and later connected Smita to
Suneeta Rao for a chat. Suneeta Rao wished Smita in Telugu saying “Nuvvu Chala
bagunnavamma” and wished her all the very best. Smita later said to Suneeta Rao
that she really loved her song “Pari Hoon Main” to which Suneeta Rao said to
Smita that she looked like a Pari (angel) herself. It was a rare treat for the
music lovers of A.P. to find two Telugu girls who have made it to the National
pop scene chat this way and sing their favorite songs live for the audiences.

KS Rama Rao elected for APFCC
Producer KS Rama Rao (of Creative Commercials) is today elected the new
President of the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce, which elections for
the new body was held today. B. Ramachandra Reddy is elected the Vice-President.
C. Kalyan is elected the Chairman of Producers' wing, while it is Chakrapani for
Exhibitors sector. MC Bose is the Chairman for the Distribution sector and P.
Kiran Kumar is for the Studio wing. With ruckus erupting between the producers,
distributors and exhibitors, elections to other posts of the office bearers got

Memoir of Gollapudi released
Sacramento resident and famous cardiologist Dr. Gopal Nemana released the
autobiography of Gollapudi Maruti Rao aptly named "Amma Kadupu Challaga". On
this occasion, the veteran character artiste and villain of the yesteryears
shared some of his memorable experiences and association over five decades with
Telugu Literature, Movies and Stage. Gollapudi also enthralled the audiences
with humor filled responses to their queries. The event christened –Gollapudi
Garitho O Sarada Sayankalam - was hosted by local Indian Restaurant "Ruchi
Indian Cuisine" and attended by many literary and movie lovers from the
Sacramento region.
