The All India NTR Fans Association have today undertaken
collection of signatures from the legislators at the Assembly
premises in Hyderabad as part of their "One crore signatures
campaign", seeking Bharat Ratna to legendary actor and former
TDP supremo NTR. Chandrababu Naidu and the party MLAs signed at
the register as part of the exercise. Even Congress MLA Sitaram
also signed in the book and said that NTR deserved the country's
highest civilian honor. After collection of the specified number
of sings, the same will be submitted to the Prime Minister.
Rajasekhar-Bhumika film in Sep
The new film in the combination of Rajasekhar and Bhumika is
coming up for regular shoot from September, according to its
producer Maganti Gopinath. The film will be made on Dishira
Productions. G. Ramprasad will be directing it. Music is by
Ramana Gogula. The producer maintained that the film would be
made with high budget with big cast. Comedy, family sentiment
and action are the prime elements in the subject. Shoot would be
finished in four schedules between September and December. In
all there will be five songs. Dialogues are by Kona Venkat.
Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Ali are among the comedians.
Chiru ignored Dalits: Ex-IAS officer
Former IAS officer Rosaiah, who earlier undertook 817-km
padayatra with the slogan that Chiranjeevi is the future chief
minister, now reversed his stand, criticizing Chiranjeevi that
he had ignored the welfare of Dalits, and "it is glaring during
his public meeting at Tirupati." He said only the YSR government
is the hope of the Dalits. Rosaiah said he would be undertaking
63-day padayatra in support of the YSR rule.
Chiru fan dies in road accident
Srinivas from Addanki, a mega fan, was killed in a road mishap
in Nellore district. The unfortunate incident took place when
the Tata Sumo on its downward journey carrying him along with
others collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction.
Seven others were also injured, including two of them seriously.
Just a few yards from this accident spot, another bus carrying
Chiranjeevi fans collided with a lorry, in which 18 were injured
and they were admitted to hospitals in Gudur and Nellore.
Incredibly, the third mishap took place at the same spot with a
mini lorry ramming into a stationary lorry, resulting in injury
to one person.
Chiru fans hurt in road mishap
Nine persons, fans of Chiranjeevi, who came to Tirupati for the
Mega show last evening, were injured this morning when their
vehicle, a mini van, on its return journey capsized at Mudigubba
village in Anantapur district. The injured were taken to a
hospital nearby for first aid. The condition of two of them is
said to be serious.
Chiru to clarify all doubts: Mitra
Praja Rajyam President Chiranjeevi will be clarifying to the
criticism that there is no clarity in his speech on various
issues, including Telangana, in another meet, soon, according to
Dr. Mitra, the party's political advisor. He responded so in the
wake of statements from several political leaders that
Chiranjeevi resorted to escapism on some of the vital issues.
Politicians' responses to Chiru meet
Senior Congress leader and state minister Jeevan Reddy today
termed the Tirupati meet of Praja Rajyam President Chiranjeevi
as a "movie" which flopped at the "Box-office." He observed that
Chiranjeevi floated the new political party with selfish
objective of getting into power politics. Another Congress
senior Mallu Ravi said that Chiranjeevi showed escapism over
Telangana issue. Minister JC Diwakar Reddy termed the
observations of Chiru on corruption is "ridiculous." However,
BJP leader Vidyasagar Rao said that the public meeting of
Chiranjeevi proved that people in the state wanted imminent
change. At the same time, he said that there was confusion over
Chiru's stand on Telangana, which he left to the "public will".
BJP National President Rajnath Singh is said to have sought AP
state unit president Bandaru Dattatreya to submit a report on
Chiru's public meeting and his newly formed Praja Rajyam.

S. Gopal Reddy injured
Popular producer S. Gopal Reddy (Bhargav Arts) was seriously
injured in the head. This happened in Chennai. Film actor
Balakrishna visited him after coming to know about it. Reddy was
immediately taken to a corporate hospital in Chennai. Further
details are awaited.
Rumors of suicide against Rambha
Wild rumors have hit Tamilnadu that actress Rambha resorted to
suicide, reports said. However, the actress was admitted to a
private hospital in Chennai with symptoms of gastroenteritis.
The doctors advised rest and administered some antibiotics
